A new creative adventure in 2012

I have started a 52 week class called beyond layers- it is all about creativity and using PSE! The instructor is Kim Klassen and I have found her very easy to learn from. She has some amazing textures to add to photos and great lessons to learn how to use them. The photo assignment from the first week was to use her awaken texture with the theme- less is more. Here are the two photos I did – I must admit, I could not stop at just one!

I am excited to see where this creative journey takes me.  This class and trying to take a photo everyday should help me to learn my camera better!

Scrappy New Year

I am happy that 2012 is here.  I plan on taking a photo a day to document the year in which I turn 55.  I have begun with today’s photo – easy to start on day one.

I liked it so much, I made a layout for it!  Perhaps it will end up being the first page of my album.

This layout uses products from Three Paper Peonies at Oscraps, including her newest frame set Collage:

I was not very good at scrapping the photos I took last year, but I did use the new Projects 52 no.1  template available from Sue Cummings Designs at Oscraps to make a layout with 12 of my favorite photos of 2011.

Ninigoesdigi is the newest designer I am creating for!

Nini  had her first CT call and since I already love her designs and the store where she sells- ZigZagScrap I had to apply!  I was pleased to be asked to be on her new team.  The first kit I got to work with- Winter at my window:

It was the perfect kit to use for my favorite winter passion- birdwatching out my dining room window.

International Digital Scrap Day

So much going on in the digital scrap world.  I just love when two of the designers I CT for collaborate.  This time it is ValC. Designs and Sue Cummings Designs.  They have come up with the most amazing quick page album using the two kits they collaborated on- Focused + Photographed and Original + Unaltered

New this week from ValC. Designs

Val C. Designs has a new kit as part of Zig Zag Scrap’s October/November Zig Zag Lines called Original. Currently there is a great sale on the Zig Zag Lines- the more you buy the more you save.
